Rachael Yamagata.

Chesapeake - Rachael Yamagata.

Oh my, I am in love with this album.
After Rachael's last album, which I had mixed feelings about, I worried that one of my all time favorites was no longer on my "it-list." You see, most of that album was gorgeous, but there were a couple of songs riddled with much-too-foul of language for me. You can read my review here.

BUT, she has redeemed herself, and created such a heart breakingly beautiful album, that even has a little fun sometimes.
While I'm bead-bead-beading away over here, this is what I'll be listening to.
Over and over again.

Top tracks [for now]:
Even If I Don't [featured on this month's mix, track 13]
The Way It Seems To Go
I Don't Want to Be Your Mother
Full On
Dealbreaker
and my very very favorite, You Won't Let Me [beautiful!]

I truly do believe that Rachael is one of the most underrated artists in the music business today. Her songwriting is wicked good.
