Earlier this month, the lamp on our television went out. Brandon and I decided not to rush in replacing it. I can't begin to tell you how nice it is having no television in our living area. We've replaced TV watching with reading.
It's awesome, I tell you.

. When I heard about this series, I knew Madeline would like it. I've started this one as well and will finish it when she gets done. I think it's a fascinating premise. Dystopian societies are all the rage these days :)Lily: Horse Diaries: Elska by Catherine Hapka
. Lily has developed a fascination with horses so when I saw this series, I knew she would love it. She is already finished with this first book and is anxiously waiting for book two to arrive any day now.Brandon: See Dane Run by Dane Rauschenberg
. He recently met this inspiring runner at a book signing and is pacing himself [excuse the pun] through this true life story of a man who ran 52 marathons in 52 weeks.Have you read any great books lately?
