Six albums.

Some music recommendations for your Thursday...

+ The Last Royals EP - The Last Royals. New music I discovered through Noisetrade, which was free in exchange for a tweet. I like the song 'Come Take My Hand.' I think it has a really cool 80's music vibe.

+ This Empty Northern Hemisphere - Gregory Alan Isakov. I discovered this artist on Brite Revolution. Brite is free to join, and then you can download tons of songs at no charge. I liked Isakov so much, I went and purchased the entire album. My favorite tracks are 'Words', 'Dandelion Wine', and 'One Of Us Cannot Be Wrong.' P.S. This album features Brandi Carlile throughout. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!

+ Early In The Morning - James Vincent McMorrow. I love 'This Old Dark Machine', 'Breaking Hearts', and 'From The Woods', which has a moment at about 2:55 when you think the song is over, but a second later it catapults into a fast paced chant. It makes my heart jump with joy.

+ Fathers Be Kind EP - Ivan & Alyosha. This is such a happy discovery. I had never heard of this group before a week ago, but they are now firmly in my favorites list. I love every track from this EP, and I will be listening to everything they've recorded so far, while waiting anxiously for more new music.

+ Good Old War - Good Old War. There is so much music being made in the Singer/Songwriter genre, and a lot of it is great, but some of it is boring. This music is NOT boring. It's really great. If you like Grizzly Bear or Fleet Foxes, then you should check this out. I love 'That's Some Dream', 'My Own Sinking Ship', 'My Name's Sorrow' and 'I Should Go.'

+ Chasing Someday - Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors. I first discovered this artist on Brite a couple of years ago, and liked some of their music, but not all. In my opinion, this album is a gigantic leap into excellence. It's classified as Rock, but songs like 'Someday' definitely have a Singer/Songwriter feel, which I like the most. I could listen to that song all. day. long.

Let me know if you find something here you love too!
