the Blizzard of 2010.

+ We got snow. Lots of it. It came in blizzard form, with high winds and horizontal snowfall. Heavy drifts of blowing snow over already icy roadways made for some really long commutes and scary driving, and local officials are saying that the weather was the cause of over 155 accidents yesterday. It's still snowing out my window right now. I know that this kind of severe weather causes hardship and headaches, but I still love it. I love the way it makes people slow down, and stay home, and there isn't anything we can do about it, right? So why not love it? My kids sure love it. They are headed outside right now, to shovel our walks and make a snowman.

+ I've spent every Thanksgiving [except one, which I spent in Hawaii, without my children, it wasn't my favorite!] in this area, and this is the first "white" Thanksgiving I can remember, ever. We feel lucky if we get a white Christmas. So for us, here in the Tri-Cities, this is kind of a big deal. And with temperatures not expected to climb out of the teens over the next couple of days, and possibly more snow on the way, it's going to be an especially cozy holiday.

+ We start selling Christmas trees on Friday at our Kennewick Ranch & Home tree lot. If you are in the market for a fresh cut tree [nothing's better than a real tree!], stop by and say hi to Brandon!

+ I don't do Black Friday. I like to stay home in my pajamas, listen to Christmas tunes, and pull out my holiday decorations. It's my favorite way to spend the day after Thanksgiving. I was thinking that this year, I would present my December mix on Black Friday, a little earlier than December. I hope you'll stop by and give it a listen.

Happy Snow Day!

P.S. I have some questions for you today!

Is there snow where you are?
Do you participate in Black Friday?
What is your favorite Christmas album?
Does your family put up a real or a fake tree?
