Burdens.

In times of trial, heartache, and despair I always turn to The Book of Mormon to help me sort everything out. We all face trials. No one is excluded from suffering. For me, this book has been a source of truth and light, a place to find answers.

I was reading this talk this past weekend and it led me to a scripture: Mosiah 24:14. It reads:

14 And I will also ease the burdens which are put upon your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon your backs, even while you are in bondage; and this will I do that ye may stand as witnesses for me hereafter, and that ye may know of a surety that I, the Lord God, do visit my people in their afflictions.

This is my new favorite scripture...

Because it clearly states that although we face trials, our loving Heavenly Father will give us strength to endure them. His power is so great that He can help us even so that we cannot feel the burden on our backs. And He does this so that we can gain experience and grow our testimonies so that afterward we can stand as a witness for Him.

I find this so amazing, so powerful, so inspiring. He is there to help us through our trials, if we will reach out and allow Him to do so. Our Savior suffered all that we endure, and He made it possible to overcome our burdens.

I am so grateful.
