Be Still

the day didn't start out very well.
sometimes being a mom
is just so hard.
and on some days
she allows herself to get frustrated.
and she forgets to see all that is
good and beautiful.

and then as this frustrated mom
drives her children out of the driveway,
she sees this beautiful flower in her yard.

and it immediately stops her
and reminds her to calm down,
Be Still.

And then she hears a whisper
that says turn on some music.
MoTab.

And then she hears this:

Be Still, My Soul:
The Lord is on thy side;
With patience bear thy cross of grief or pain.

Leave to thy God to order and provide;
In every change he faithful will remain.

Be still, my soul:
Thy best, thy heav'nly Friend
Thru thorny ways leads to a joyful end.

And then she is grateful.
