Outdoor Movie

Friday night we celebrated the girls birthdays with an outdoor movie/hang out party with their friends. It was pretty laid back and simple to pull off [just the way I like it.] I hired a guy to come set up the screen, projector, and sound equipment and that cost $100. I thought it was a pretty good deal, especially since we were celebrating two birthdays...definitely worth it.

I rented a popcorn machine for $20 and we put out pop and candy. The kids watched the classic, "The Princess Bride", and there is just something magical about watching a movie outdoors at night, on a warm summer evening under the stars. Magical.

When the movie was over, the 20+ kids came in the house where the girls opened gifts and we served up cupcakes decorated in their favorite colors.

It was a fun night, and a birthday party I would totally do again.
