It happens to me every Spring, I find a song that becomes my Summer song. Two years ago it was Corinne Bailey Rae's "Put Your Records On", last year it was Kelly Sweet's "Raincoat." Well, this time around, I won't just have a Summer song, I'm gonna have a "Summer Album."
I have happened upon this album, and it is the best I have listened to in a long time. If you like classic 70's soft rock, if you like America or Bread , if you like the Beach Boys harmonization, if your modern tastes lean you towards Wilco, then you just may love this album as much as I do.
The band is called The Silver Seas, formerly The Bees, and the album is titled "High Society." The album was released last fall, so I'm a little late in finding them, but they are really really good. Tracks #1-4 on the album are my favorite so I've put those four tracks at the top of my playlist today. Sit back and listen.
The entire album, though, is excellent and worth the download.
This is my Summer Music for 2008.

Happy Birthday Mitchie Boy! I love you, and hope your 30th year treats you fine!
