I have a lot of spring cleaning to do. It's these blue skies and sunny days that make me want to clean, and purge and disinfect. I need great music to keep me going though. Once all the kids are off to school, it's time for me to turn up the music and work away. Here's a little sampling of what I've been listening to...

I've been on a classical music kick again. I made a playlist recently for Danyelle's husband, and I really like it, it's all classical, all instrumental and all beautiful. Many of the tracks are from movie scores, because he and I share a similar interest in great movie scores. I recently watched "Becoming Jane" and discovered the beautiful soundtrack to that movie. I have been listening to that quite a bit as well. I definitely recommend the movie, and the soundtrack.

When I haven't been listening to classical I've been listening to Jaymay. Her album "Autumn Fallin'" came out last November and it is pretty good. My favorites from that album are "Blue Skies", "Autumn Fallin'", "Sycamore Down", and "Hard to Say." Her album is classified as folk, but it really has a Regina Spektor kind of feel. I like it a lot.

I also have been revisiting Feist's "The Reminder" album. It's been a little while since I listened to that album from start to finish, and I kind of forgot how great it is. If you haven't discovered Feist's greatness, check it out. There are lots of great tracks by this artist beyond the "1234" popularity. Some of my Feist favorites are "So Sorry", "My Moon My Man", "Brandy Alexander", and "The Park." From her album "Let It Die", I love "One Evening", "Gatekeeper", and "Mushaboom."
Enjoy these Sunny Days and some Great Music!
