Worth the Buck

I feel like talking music today. I've found some new tunes that I am really loving, so I'll share them with you. They're all individual songs that can be downloaded for a mere 99 cents each. And I totally think they're worth every penny.

  • "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz. I am a loyal Mraz fan, love just about everything he does. This is his new single. Make it yours for 99 cents.
  • "Cold December" by Matt Costa. I love this guy more and more every time I listen to him. I have several of his songs now and some of my favorites are "Astair", "These Arms", and "Sweet Rose."

  • "Gotta Have You" by The Weepies. Being a sort of new, folk music fan, I'm also a new Weepies fan. I love this song so much, as well as "World Spins Madly On." I know that some of you are Weepies fans as well, so I'd love to hear what your favorite Weepies songs are.
  • "Sweetie" by Josh Rouse. So I would say that Josh Rouse IS my favorite new discovery so far. I really love every single song of his that I've heard. He is an artist that tries many different sounds and doesn't feel confined to one genre. I love that. This is my favorite Josh Rouse song, definitely worth the 99 cents. Also check out, "Domesticated Lovers", "Sad Eyes", "Saturday", and "Quiet Town."

  • "For You From Me" by Jon McLaughlin. I can't stop listening to this entire album, so I personally think the $8.99 to purchase every song pales in comparison to the amount of play you will get from this album. It is so good. But for 99 cents, this song is awesome.
  • "No One's Gonna Love You" by Band of Horses. I've heard a lot of hype about this band on some music blogs that I read, and now I know why. I love "Is There a Ghost", "The Funeral", and "St. Augustine." This band reminds me of The Shins and that is sayin' somethin'.
  • "Your Song" by Kate Walsh. I realize that all of you who came to the bloggers luncheon or who have received a cd from me recently already know about this song. BUT IT IS SO GOOD. In fact, as soon as Lovely Lindsay introduced this artist to me, I was hooked. I now own both of her albums and I love them. These are my favorites. "Don't Break My Heart" (love this song more than words can explain), "Bury My Head", "Impressionable", and "French Song."

  • "Portland is Leaving" by Rocky Votolato. Love this guys voice. Other favorites. "White Daisy Passing", "She Was Only In It for the Rain", "The Night's Disguise", and "Lilly White."

  • "Cry" by Dan Wilson. This is the only song I know by this artist, but I like it. And it is worth the 99 cents.
I don't have music codes for these songs, but you should check them out. Because they are good. And also worth.......the 99 cents.
  • "The Birds Will Sing for Us" by Ed Harcourt
  • "Can't Begin to Tell You Why" by Rob Blackledge
  • "I Didn't Know" by The Colorful Quiet
  • "Unfair" by Josh Kelley
  • "One You Need" by Ernie Halter
I'd love to read your comments today about the music you are loving lately, what have you been listening to?
