Yesterday was such a memorable day for our family. It began with a snow day for our entire stake. I'm not sure that's ever happened before. Treacherous road conditions meant one whole day spent with family, snuggled in our cozy home. We marched through the snow to my in-laws (they live about 75 yards behind us) and enjoyed a roaring fire, some yummy snacks and more mission stories from Taylor.
Then we braved the roads to join my family for dinner. It was delicious of course, and I got to snuggle beautiful Audrey after dinner. The men were out shoveling walks for families in the neighborhood, and us women were tending children and enjoying conversation when the phone rang. Mom answered and all of a sudden she was crying and it was apparent that something terrible had happened. My mind was racing...who died? Who was hurt? She hung up and informed us that President Hinckley had just passed away. I was relieved. Sad, but relieved.

He was reunited with his beloved wife. He will be missed. And we will never forget him.
