Brandon ran yet another ultra-marathon on Saturday. This time it was in Montana and he needed me to go along to crew him. It was a 50 mile race along a mountain dirt road, and he did very well. His goal was to run it in 10 hours.
He did better than that.
9 hours and 28 minutes.
Way to go, Brandon!

(Looking great at the last aid station, just 3 miles to the finish line)

(The runners ran across the Hungry Horse Dam, just a couple miles before the finish line)

(His friend George finished about 45 minutes after him)
Montana is beautiful in the fall, simply breathtaking. We stayed in Hungry Horse, just about a half hour from the entrance to Glacier National Park. The race ended there and started 50 miles away at Spotted Bear. As he ran, I would drive 3-5 miles ahead of him and wait for him to get there. Then I would help him refuel with food and gatorade. The weather was perfect. 60 degrees, sunny. Beautiful.

While I waited for him I was reading "The Hiding Place" by Corrie Ten Boom. I am almost finished and I LOVE THIS BOOK. There are so many wonderful quotes in this book, and I have been inspired. I am going to rent the movie as soon as I finish the book, has anyone seen it?
Thanks Mom and Dad for watching the kids, they had a wonderful weekend. We had a great time and look forward to more weekends away, just the two of us.
